Gamewell-FCI ASD-PL3-BP — bulk pack of the ASD-PL3, the Velociti® Series 3 intelligent addressable photoelectric smoke detector in bright white.
This is the multi-unit ordering option for contractors wiring out a full building rather than replacing a single head. Every detector in the pack is a standard ASD-PL3: a re-designed optical sensing chamber engineered to sense smoke from a wide range of combustion sources in accordance with UL 268 7th Edition, combined with addressable-analog communications that report an analog representation of smoke density to the panel, where sensitivity is programmed in software to suit the environment. Each unit is addressed with rotary decimal switches (01–159), has dual LEDs for 360° visibility, draws low standby current, and carries a built-in functional test switch operated by an external magnet. Detector heads only — mounting bases (B501-WHITE, B300-6, or relay, isolator and sounder bases) are ordered separately, and B501-WHITE-BP and B300-6-BP are the matching base bulk packs.

Installation notes

Pack quantity: the -BP bulk-pack part number is not listed in the ordering table of Velociti Series 3 data sheet 9020-0617, which covers the individual ASD-PL3. The quantity stated in the product title above governs this listing; the technical data below is per detector.

Bases sold separately: detector heads only. Bases are separate order items — B501-WHITE (4" flangeless), B300-6 (6" flanged), B224RB-WH relay, B224BI-WH isolator, B200S-WH / B200SR-WH sounder — and are themselves available in 10-unit bulk packs (B501-WHITE-BP, B300-6-BP).

Protocol: the bright white ASD-PL3 is a Velociti-protocol detector. Legacy systems needing CLIP backwards compatibility take the ivory ASD-PL3-IV, which operates in both Velociti and CLIP.

No thermal element: these are photoelectric-only detectors. 135°F fixed-temperature thermal sensing belongs to the ASD-PTL3, which also carries a narrower 32°F to 100°F operating range.

Duct applications: use the remote-test-capable ASD-PL3R with a DNR or DNRW duct detector housing — the standard ASD-PL3 is not the duct model.
