The Fireray 6010-300 Fireray One is a reflective projected beam smoke detector designed to provide reliable smoke detection across large open spaces. With a standard detection range of 16 to 164 ft (5 to 50 m), it provides an efficient alternative to installing numerous point smoke detectors in areas with high ceilings or expansive floor plans.

The system operates by transmitting an infrared beam from the detector to a reflector positioned on the opposite wall. The reflected signal returns to the detector, where changes in beam strength caused by smoke are continuously monitored to identify potential fire conditions.

Designed to simplify installation and commissioning, the Fireray One incorporates intelligent alignment and compensation technologies that help establish and maintain reliable beam alignment. Its enclosed optical design also helps protect critical components and simplifies routine maintenance.

For applications requiring greater distances, the detector can be extended to 394 ft (120 m) with the optional Fireray Reflective Long Range Kit.

Reflective Beam Detection

Unlike conventional point smoke detectors, the Fireray 6010-300 monitors a beam projected across a large open space.

Smoke entering the beam path reduces the amount of infrared light reflected back to the detector. When the obscuration reaches the configured alarm threshold, the detector can initiate an alarm condition.

This approach makes projected beam detection particularly useful in buildings where installing and maintaining numerous individual smoke detectors at ceiling level would be difficult or inefficient.

Automatic Alignment

The Fireray One incorporates automatic alignment technology designed to simplify commissioning and help maintain correct alignment between the detector and reflector.

The detector provides up to ±4.5° of angular alignment, helping installers compensate for mounting conditions and achieve a reliable reflected signal.

Extended Detection Range

The standard Fireray 6010-300 configuration provides a detector-to-reflector separation distance of:
