MS-10UD-7 — ten-zone conventional fire alarm control panel with a built-in digital alarm communicator/transmitter, supplied with the FLPS-7 power supply providing 7.0 amps total 24 VDC output current.
The MS-10UD combination control and digital communicator panel provides fire signaling protection for small to medium sized commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. It is compatible with System Sensor i3 conventional smoke detectors, which transmit a maintenance trouble signal indicating the need for cleaning and a supervisory freeze signal when ambient temperature falls below approximately 45°F, and with conventional input devices such as two-wire and four-wire smoke detectors, pull stations, waterflow devices, tamper switches and other normally-open contact devices. Outputs include four NACs, three programmable Form-C relays factory programmed for alarm, trouble and supervisory, and 24 VDC special application resettable and nonresettable power. The panel supervises all wiring, AC voltage, battery level and telephone line integrity. The integral DACT reports system status to a central station over the public switched telephone network and supports remote programming or interrogation with the PS-Tools upload/download utility; local programming is possible through the panel USB port.

Installation notes
-
Class A is not standard: the IDCs are Style B (Class B) and the NACs are Style Y (Class B). Class A operation requires the optional CAC-5X Class A Converter Module for NACs and IDCs.
-
Per-circuit vs panel budget: each NAC is rated 3.0 amps special application, but the FLPS-7 supplies 7.0 amps total alarm current per panel. Four circuits at 3.0 A each cannot be loaded simultaneously — size the whole panel, not one circuit.
-
Battery sizing: the onboard charger handles up to 26 AH on the -7, but the cabinet itself only houses two 18 Amp Hour batteries. Anything larger requires a separate battery box such as the BB-26 or BB-55F together with a CHG-75 or CHG-120F charger. Minimum battery size is 7 Amp Hour.
-
Remote sync output: the TB2 remote power supply synchronization output is only required for the MS-5UD-3(E) and MS-10UD-3(E). It is not part of the FLPS-7 current distribution.
-
Semi-flush mounting: do not recess the box more than 3.875" into the wall, to avoid covering the venting holes on top of the box.
-
Annunciation: the ANN-BUS connects the ANN-80 remote LCD annunciator, ANN-I/O LED driver, ANN-S/PG printer module, ANN-RLY relay module and ANN-LED annunciator module. A secondary ANN-BUS requires the optional ANN-SEC card.
-
Dress panel: DP-51050 is optional on this model. Canadian models supply a modified dress panel including an ANN-LED annunciator module as standard. TR-CE (red) is the optional trim ring for semi-flush mounting.
