Fire-Lite DACT-UD2 — dual-line digital alarm communicator/transmitter reporting panel status to a UL Listed central station receiver.
It reports over the public switched telephone network. This is not a cellular or IP communicator: DACT stands for Digital Alarm Communicator/Transmitter, and the module carries two modular telephone jacks, seizes the line ahead of any premises phones through RJ31X jacks and dials out.
- Reports 636 addressable points or 99 zones, mounting on the panel main circuit board
- Two independent supervised telephone lines on jacks marked PRI and SEC
- Standby current 0.0193 A maximum; 0.0335 A maximum while communicating
- Ademco Contact ID and SIA formats; Touch-Tone dialling, programmable to rotary
- REN 0.0B, AC impedance 10.0 MΩ, FCC Part 68, mates with an RJ31X connector
- Standard on the MS-9600UDLS and UDLSE; optional on the MS-9600LS and LSE
The sibling that costs money to confuse is the earlier DACT-UD, document 51899, the communicator for the plain MS-9600, drawing 0.100 A standby and 0.132 A communicating — about five times this card. The host panels do not overlap.
