Fire-Lite BB-17F is an external battery box that houses two standby batteries for a fire alarm control panel when the batteries do not fit inside the panel cabinet. It mounts directly below the FACP cabinet, with knockouts on its top surface for conduit to the panel. Fire-Lite panel data sheets call for it when the batteries are larger than 7 Ah.

Compatibility and installation notes
- Remove knockouts in the bottom of the FACP and the top of the BB-17F, align them and run conduit between the two cabinets.
- Run the battery cable from the FACP through the conduit and connect it to the batteries, then secure the cover with the supplied screws.
- Example: the Fire-Lite MS-2 data sheet lists the BB-17F as the battery box required for two batteries greater than 7 Ah to a maximum of 18 Ah.
