X-Sense SD19-W — battery powered photoelectric smoke alarm that interlinks by radio with other X-Sense Link alarms.
Interconnecting alarms normally means pulling a traveler conductor between devices. The SD19-W uses a sub-GHz radio link instead, so any unit that senses smoke sounds every alarm in the group. It is sealed: the lithium cell is not replaceable and the alarm retires with it at ten years.
- Photoelectric smoke sensing, 1.27 to 2.09 % obscuration per foot
- UL 217 10th Ed. and ULC S531 5th Ed. listed; ETL certified
- 3 V CR17450 lithium cell, non-replaceable, 10-year battery and service life
- At least 85 dB at 10 feet, 3.2 kHz pulsing; silence period up to 9 minutes
- 902 to 928 MHz interlink band, range over 1,640 ft in open air
- Up to 12 smoke plus 6 CO alarms per network, X-Sense Link+ and Link+ Pro only
- Operates 40 to 100 °F at 10 to 85 % RH, non-condensing
The SD20-W shares this manual and these electronics in a different housing. The radio group is closed: it will not join Kidde, First Alert or other interlink systems. X-Sense states it is not designed for hearing-impaired occupants.
