Westell CV04-500-629 — 2-way public safety power splitter, model VHF-SPD2/138-960/N(f), covering VHF through 960 MHz.
A splitter divides the signal on one coaxial line equally between two branches, so a single BDA or DAS port can feed two antennas or two cable runs. Westell rates the series for UHF, VHF, 700, 800 and 900 MHz public safety and private mobile bands, for indoor or outdoor use, and finishes the housing red so it is easy to identify in a riser or ceiling.
- Frequency range: 138–960 MHz
- Split loss 3.0 dB; insertion loss 0.7 dB maximum
- Port isolation 18 dB minimum; VSWR 1.3:1 maximum
- Total input power: 50 W
- Connectors: N female, 50 ohm
- Indoor/outdoor, IP65
- Body 4.4 × 4.4 × 0.9 in., connectors excluded
Siblings in the same series are the 3-way CV04-501-629 and the 4-way CV04-502-629. The CS04-472-429 is a 2-way divider for 340–2700 MHz, not VHF, and a power tapper such as the CV05-522-614 splits power unequally rather than evenly.
