Westell CS19-BBC-003 — wall-mounted NEMA 3R battery back-up cabinet for public-safety BDA installations.
A bi-directional amplifier has to keep running on battery after a power failure, and this is where those batteries live: a welded aluminium enclosure, red powder-coated, holding two 12 VDC batteries in series for 24 VDC and charged by the BDA itself. An internal breaker gives short-circuit protection and doubles as a charger-fail test.
- Cabinet 15.63" H × 26" W × 14" D; 41 lb without batteries
- Input or charge 28.75 VDC nominal from the BDA; output 24 VDC nominal
- Sized for up to two 160 Ah batteries; two are required for 24 VDC operation
- 15 A single-pole DIN-rail DC breaker; operating range 0°C to 50°C
- Door latch takes a 3/8" flat-blade screwdriver; UL 2524 and NFPA 1221 compliant
- Supplied with battery wiring, terminal rings, cord grips and mounting hardware
This is an enclosure, not an amplifier. It backs up Westell ProtectLink Class A and B BDAs of the CS40 Series and PS Enhanced Class B CS14-720-820 and CS14-722-822. Batteries are separate numbers, CS19-PYL12V45FS to CS19-PYL12V160FT.
