VESDA VP-BV — ball valve for VESDA aspirating smoke detection sampling pipe, supplied 10 per box.
An aspirating network only performs as designed once each branch is balanced. Fitted at a branch takeoff, a ball valve lets the commissioning technician shut or throttle one leg while airflow and transport time are measured on the rest of the pipe, and lets a section be isolated later for cleaning or rework without dropping the detector offline. Xtralis catalogs it inside the VESDA Pipes and Fittings range with the pipe, couplings and elbows.
- Xtralis ordering description: Ball Valve, 10 per box
- Pack quantity 10 — one ordered unit is a box of ten valves
- Part of the VESDA 3/4 in. (20 mm) pipe range
- Mating VESDA pipe is 3/4 in. IPS per ASTM F442, 0.874 in. (22.5 mm) average ID
Order by the box, not the valve — a line item of 2 is 20 valves. Xtralis marks the CPVC items in its fittings table with an asterisk and does not mark VP-BV, so confirm body material and joint type before solvent cementing.
