VEP-A00-1P — VESDA-E VEP aspirating smoke detector, single sampling pipe, LED indicators (no LCD display).
The VESDA-E VEP is built around Flair detection technology, which images sampled particles directly with a CMOS imager alongside multiple photo-diodes. That gives the detector both very early warning and the particle discrimination it needs to reject nuisance sources, and absolute calibration keeps its response consistent over its life. The A00-1P is the one-pipe member of the family: a powerful aspirator drives up to 130 m (427 ft) of branched sampling pipe covering up to 1,000 m², sized for a single room, a plant space or one localised detection zone rather than a whole floor. Status is annunciated on discrete LEDs and through seven programmable relays; Ethernet, WiFi, USB and VESDAnet are all standard for configuration, secondary monitoring and primary reporting.

Installation notes
-
One pipe, half the reach: the A00-1P is rated for 1,000 m² and 130 m of branched pipe. The four-pipe VEP-A00-P in the same data sheet is rated for 2,000 m² and 560 m — do not size a network from four-pipe figures.
-
EN 54-20 classes are quoted for the four-pipe VEP: the Class A/B/C figures in the data sheet are stated against the four-pipe model, and the classification of any given configuration must be determined using ASPIRE.
-
StaX expansion differs by model: the one-pipe VEP is listed for the PSU StaX; Auto Pipe Clean StaX is listed for the four-pipe VEP.
-
Retrofit footprint: the VEP occupies the same mounting footprint and pipe, conduit and electrical connector positions as the legacy VESDA VLP, and works on existing VESDAnet installations.
-
Exhaust adaptor: the 3/4 in IPS exhaust connection is made through the VSP-961 adaptor, ordered separately.
