Vesda by Xtralis PIP-018 — 25 mm air sampling test point in red ABS, supplied as a pack of ten.
A VESDA aspirating system draws air through a sampling pipe network back to the detector, so a technician needs somewhere to introduce test smoke without reaching the sampling holes. Xtralis files this part under Test Points, for periodic smoke testing in hard-to-reach areas, moulded from the same ABS as the pipe range and joined with solvent cement.
- For 25 mm VESDA sampling pipe; red is the standard colour of the range
- Supplied as a pack of ten, stated by Xtralis in its own pipes and fittings catalogue
- Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, made to BS5391 under BS EN ISO 9001
- Pipes and fittings range certified to EN 54-20 and EN 61386-1
- The ABS keeps its impact strength from -40 °C to 80 °C and resists many acids and alkalis
- Xtralis states its ABS is not a V-0 rated polymer and is not classed as low smoke or fume
PIP-018-W is the same test point in white. Do not confuse it with PIP-007, the plain 25 mm end cap that seals a pipe run, or PIP-027, the test point with cap for 10 mm pipe.
