VESDA OSP-001 — OSID Series FTDI interface cable, 1.5 m, for connecting an OSID Imager to a PC.
An OSID Imager keeps an onboard event log and is aligned in Training Mode, but none of that is readable from the detector itself. The OSP-001 is the link that makes it reachable: it plugs into the jack socket under the Imager and presents an FTDI USB serial port to a laptop running the OSID Diagnostic Tool. Installers use it to verify alignment at commissioning and to download event memory when a system throws an intermittent fault.
- Length 1.5 m
- Connects to the jack socket under the OSID Imager; USB end to a PC USB port
- Used with the OSID Diagnostic Tool software; FTDI USB drivers must be installed first
- Extendable with up to two 10 m active USB 2.0 extension cables
This is an Imager-side tool — OSID Emitters have no diagnostic port. Refit the nylon plug in the Imager socket after unplugging, and do not confuse this part with OSP-002, which is the OSID laser alignment tool.
