System Sensor DST5 — metal air sampling inlet tube for InnovairFlex duct smoke detectors, for outside duct widths of 4 ft to 8 ft.
A duct smoke detector only sees the air its sampling tube delivers. The perforated inlet tube spans the duct with its holes facing upstream, so moving air is forced through the detector housing and back out through the exhaust tube. No tube is packed with the detector; one is ordered separately and matched to the duct it crosses.
- Metal sampling tube for outside duct widths of 4 ft to 8 ft (1.2 to 2.4 m)
- Must extend a minimum of two thirds of the duct width
- Installs from the front or the rear of the InnovairFlex housing and locks in place
- Arrow on the tube connector must point into the airflow
- Open end is closed with the P48-21-00 end cap, one of which ships with the detector
- For InnovairFlex duct smoke detectors only, not earlier System Sensor housings
Order by duct width: DST1.5 covers 1 ft to 2 ft, DST3 covers 2 ft to 4 ft, and DST10 covers 8 ft to 12 ft in two pieces coupled inside the duct. The ETX is the exhaust tube, not an inlet tube.
