SSU00635 — Space Age Electronics TC1 (size 1) fire alarm terminal cabinet with a single 18-point high barrier terminal strip in a red powder-coated steel enclosure, with a thumb screw closing the cover.
The TC Series gives fire alarm wiring a labeled junction point, making it easier to trace circuits during troubleshooting and maintenance; Space Age states the series satisfies NEC 760.30. The SSU00635 is the smallest size in the range: a surface-mount box of 16 gauge (0.062 in.) cold rolled steel with a red powder coat finish and “FIRE ALARM TERMINAL CABINET” screened on the cover in white indelible lettering. The cover uses a removable formed lift-away hinge and is held closed by a captive thumb screw. Inside, a field identification label on the cover matches the labeling of the terminal strip in the back box, so each termination can be recorded on site. The 18 terminal points take wire up to 12 gauge, and the strip is rated 20 A maximum at 250 V (Class B/UL) and 300 V (CSA). Standard 1/2 in. and 3/4 in. EMT knockouts are provided on the top and bottom.

Installation notes
-
Low voltage only: the installation instructions state that this enclosure is for low-voltage use only.
-
Keep power-limited and nonpower-limited wiring apart: power-limited circuit wiring must stay at least 0.25 in. (6 mm) away from nonpower-limited wiring inside the cabinet, and the two must enter and leave through different knockouts or conduits. 20 A maximum.
-
Mounting hardware is not supplied: lift the cover off, hold the back box in place to mark the holes, drill for the screws you are using, and fix the box to the wall.
-
Record the terminations: use the field identification label inside the cover to note which circuit lands on each of the 18 points; it matches the strip labeling in the back box.
-
Lock choice affects the listing: SSU00635 closes with a thumb screw. The keyed TC1, SSU00536, uses a CAT30 lock, and the TC1 data sheet notes that the CAT30-lock version is not UL listed. Check this with the AHJ if a locking cabinet is needed.
-
Qualified installers and power off: remove all system power until installation is complete and ready for testing, and install to local, state and federal codes and the authority having jurisdiction.
