Solo 423 — mains-powered heat detector test head from the Detectortesters Solo range, for 110/120 V supplies, order code SOLO423-001.
Heat detectors must be tested where they sit. The 423 delivers controlled heat into a cup held over the detector until it responds, and the head fits a Solo telescopic access pole so ceiling devices are reached from the floor.
- Suits fixed temperature, rate-of-rise and combination heat detectors up to 194°F / 90°C
- 110/120 V member of the range; the 220/240 V version is the Solo 424
- Supplied with a 5 m / 16 ft cable and mains connection; a second cable is available
- Fitted with a thermal cut-out protection system; no user-serviceable parts inside
- Used at height, at angles and at low level once fitted to a Solo access pole

The Solo 424 is the same head for 220/240 V; the Solo 461 is cordless, running from a Solo 760 Battery Baton. The A3 and C3 aerosols test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, not heat. Poles such as the Solo 100, 101 and 108 are separate components.
