Simplex 742-590 — replacement service assembly for the 2X40 Master Operator Interface of 4100U and 4100ES fire alarm control panels.
Simplex settles what this part is in one sentence: the assembly includes the graphic overlay carrying the buttons used to interact with the panel, and is more than just the display unit, being more generally the front door to the CPU bay. So the operator interface and the door are one part. It hangs on swivel standoffs at the sides of the bay and connects by two ribbon cables.
