Simplex 565-964 — replacement duct interface board for the 4098 two-wire duct detector with relay drive.
In the 4098 range the housing samples duct air, a 4098-9601 photoelectric detector does the sensing, and the interface board carries the connection back to the panel. The relay drive version adds a supervised relay output on top of the two-wire initiating circuit, which is how a duct alarm stops the air handler.
- Serves the 4098-9688 Two-Wire Duct Detector with Relay Drive
- Input 15 to 32 VDC, polarized; standby 2.0 mA, alarm 40 mA, both at 24 VDC max
- Drives one 4098-9841 remote relay, coil connections supervised to 100 feet
- Remote relay contacts rated 1 A at 28 VDC or 1/2 A at 120 VAC resistive
- One such detector only per two-wire circuit; not for 4004 or 4005 low current IDCs
- Detector removal, loss of 24 VDC or a relay output fault reports trouble at the panel
Confirm the housing first. The 4098-9685 is two-wire with no relay output, the 4098-9686 is four-wire and drives fifteen 4098-9843 PAM-SD relays, and the 4098-9755 and -9756 are TrueAlarm housings taking a 4098-9714 sensor instead. No Simplex document we obtained prints 565-964 against a 4098 model number, so check the board marking before ordering.
