Simplex 565-301 — a Simplex printed circuit board assembly catalogued as a 4100 redundant CPU part.
Simplex does offer redundant CPU operation on the 4100, but it is built from two CPU bays, not one card. The primary bay holds a CPU motherboard, the master controller daughter card that plugs into it, a system power supply and a CPU switcher card. The secondary bay holds a backup CPU and a second supply; the switcher hands over when the primary CPU or its power converter fails.
- Redundant master controller models 4100-9121, 4100-9122 and 4100-9222
- 4100-9121 uses the 2 × 40 operator interface; -9122 and -9222 use InfoAlarm
- Bay assemblies 637-525 with 637-358, 637-935 with 637-933, 650-108 with 650-109
- Harnesses 734-073, 734-074 and 733-525 link the bays
- For 4100U and 4100ES panels; not compatible with ES Net network panels
Assembly 565-301 is not itself listed in the Simplex parts lists for the 4100, 4100U or 4100ES, nor in instructions 579-331, so check the number on the board. Do not confuse it with master controller cards 565-148 and 565-333 or CPU assembly 566-149.
