Simplex 565-217 — Remote Unit Interface (RUI) daughter card for Simplex 4100 series fire alarm control units.
The RUI card extends a 4100 communications run out to remote bays in a MINIPLEX system, reaching transponders, annunciators, graphic I/O modules and RIC II cards. Class A here belongs to that communications line, not to IDNet, a notification circuit or detector wiring: run Class A and harness 733-716 comes out so the second twisted pair can be landed.

- Line wiring 18 AWG twisted shielded pair, 2,500 ft maximum one-way
- LEDs for Class A line trouble and Class A transmit-short trouble
- 32° to 120°F (0° to 50°C); 5% to 85% RH, non-condensing
- Mounts onto a 562-799 or 562-856 motherboard; service board for 4100-1291
This is the daughter card alone; a complete 4100-1291 also includes the 562-856 motherboard. The 4100-0304 is the same RUI for older 2975-91xx back boxes; 565-233 is the RIC II module at the far end of the line.
