Simplex 49LENS-BLUE — blue colour lens cover for TrueAlert ES wall-mount addressable V/O and A/V notification appliances.
A colour lens ships with the correct intensity selection plug and the appliance PCB must be set for colour-lens operation, so it is a configuration change, not a cosmetic cover. It also changes the listing: a clear-lens TrueAlert ES strobe is listed to UL 1971/ULC S526, but the same appliance with a colour lens is listed to UL 1638/ULC S526, covering private-mode emergency and general utility visual signalling. Simplex catalogues colour-lens builds as Emergency Communications appliances with ALERT or blank covers, and restricts colour lenses to indoor appliances.
- UL 1638 / ULC S526 with the colour lens fitted
- No blue de-rating: the 15, 30, 75, 110 and 135 cd board settings give the same rated output
- The 185 cd setting is not available with any colour lens
- V/O draws 54 mA at 15 cd and 211 mA at 135 cd on 23 V, versus 47 mA and 160 mA clear
Amber keeps full output too, but 49LENS-GREEN and 49LENS-RED de-rate hard — red yields only 3 to 37 cd. A lens is not an appliance: the 49VO-APPLWE or 49AV-APPLW housing, a cover and a 49MP mounting plate are ordered separately.
