Simplex 49LENS-AMBER — amber color lens cover for TrueAlert ES wall mount notification appliances.
Simplex supplies the emergency communications TrueAlert ES wall appliance as a bare housing and leaves the lens color to the job. This kit finishes a 49VO-APPLWE visible only housing or a 49AV-APPLW audible visible housing in amber, and the cover carries the correct intensity selection plug. Amber appliances are driven separately from the fire alarm appliances sharing the IDNAC circuit.
- Amber output 15, 30, 75, 110 and 135 cd, matching board markings of the same value
- The 185 cd board setting has no amber rating; on legacy TrueAlert SLCs amber stops at 110 cd
- UL listed to Standard 1638 as a non-white lens, ULC listed to S526; UL verified UL 1971 dispersion at rated candela with no derating for amber
- Covered by Simplex installation instructions 579-1046
The lens alone does not make an appliance: a 49VOC- or 49AVC- housing cover and a 49MP-AVVOWR or 49MP-AVVOWW mounting plate are ordered separately. 49LENS-BLUE, 49LENS-GREEN and 49LENS-RED give different candela ratings.
