Simplex 4906-9140 — TrueAlert high intensity multi-candela horn strobe, ceiling mount, red with white FIRE lettering, non-addressable.
The high intensity end of the conventional TrueAlert range, for spaces the ordinary 15 to 110 candela appliances cannot reach. A plug behind the housing sets the output and a yellow flag keeps that setting readable.
- Xenon strobe selectable at 135, 177 or 185 candela; strobe listed to UL 1971, horn to UL 464.
- Horn output 2400 to 3700 Hz sweep at 120 Hz, steady or coded Temporal or March Time.
- At 10 ft and 24 VDC: 87 dBA steady and 83 dBA coded reverberant, 93 dBA anechoic.
- Maximum RMS current 389, 456 and 463 mA at 135, 177 and 185 candela.
- Flash rate 1 Hz, up to 35 synchronized strobes per NAC; 16 to 33 VDC.
- Housing 4-3/4 x 6-7/8 x 2-5/8 in. with lens, to a standard 4 in. box; 32 to 122 °F.
4906-9142 is the same ceiling horn strobe in white with red lettering, and 4906-9139 the red WALL model, whose sound and current figures differ. The ceiling strobe with no horn is 4906-9110. Colour conversion covers are wall-only, so a ceiling colour is fixed by its model.
