Simplex 4905-9835 — Temporal Code 4 module that converts a steady-on 24 VDC NAC into the CO alarm audible pattern.
A CO warning must sound different from a fire alarm. It re-times a steady-on panel NAC into Temporal Code 4 — four cycles of 100 ms on with 100 ms off, then 5 seconds off, per NFPA 720. With its dedicated control NAC off, outputs follow the fire signals on the input NAC. Up to 20 modules can share one control NAC, synchronized or not; stand-alone mode serves CO-only NACs.
- Output NAC: 24 VDC, up to 3 A, limited by the input NAC; audible appliances only, not strobes
- Sources: 4007ES Hybrid, 4010ES, 4100ES, 4100U and 4009 IDNet NAC Extender
- Appliances: 4098-9771/4098-9798 CO sounder bases, 4901-9820 and 49CMT horns set for free-run, 4903 Series A/V horn input
- 4" square box mount; screw terminals 18–12 AWG; UL 864, ULC S527
SmartSync horn-control appliances are not compatible, and the module must be close-nippled to the input NAC source, 20 ft (6 m) maximum.
