Simplex 4905-9815 — SmartSync Adapter Module for non-addressable notification appliance circuits.
SmartSync appliances take separate horn and strobe commands over one two-wire NAC. This adapter breaks that signal apart into a conventional 24 VDC audible output and a conventional 24 VDC visible output, both still driven by the SmartSync source, so weatherproof appliances, bells or chimes can be used without losing separate audible and visible control.
- Input 16 to 33 VDC; 100 µA supervisory, 450 mA maximum in alarm
- Output 17 to 32 VDC, inrush limited to 550 mA, self-resetting overcurrent protection
- Regulated ratings 30 mA audible and 180 mA visible; Special Application 50 mA and 250 mA
- Up to two adapters per SmartSync NAC, appliances up to 200 ft away
- Reverse polarity supervision, two 10 kΩ, 1/2 W end-of-line resistors
- Mounts in a 4 11/16 in. square box; UL listed to Standard 864
A cover plate is required, ordered separately: 4905-9817 surface or 4905-9818 flush mount. Do not confuse this with the 4905-9938 SmartSync Control Module, which generates SmartSync control rather than decoding it.
