Simplex 4100-6077 — MX Digital Loop Card, a double-height PDI module interfacing one electrically isolated MX digital loop to a 4100ESi fire alarm panel.
The card is the panel end of an MX addressable loop. It powers and polls the detectors, call points and interface modules wired out and back to it, watches for earth faults, open circuits and shorts, and reports to the panel CPU. It occupies a 4 by 10 inch block in a PDI bay.
- Up to 250 MX devices, addresses 1 to 250
- 500 mA of loop power, 500 mA peak loop current
- Loop wiring 12 to 18 AWG, up to 2000 m, max 150 Ω and 0.2 µF
- Seven yellow status LEDs for comm loss, earth fault, loop and loop supply
- 24 VDC nominal; 30 mA card power, 65 mA signal unloaded, 1200 mA loaded
- Operating range 0°C to 45°C, up to 93 percent humidity non-condensing
Two cards are easy to confuse with this one. The 4100-6077LIM is the withdrawn earlier build needing two external LIM800 isolators on a bracket, no longer required now that short-circuit protection is on board. The 4100-6311 ESMX Loop Interface Module is the 4100ES equivalent.
