Simplex 4100-1279 — single blank 2 in. display cover for 4100ES bay fronts.
The front of a 4100ES bay is filled with 2 in. wide LED and LED/switch modules, controllers and I/O modules. Where a position is left unused the opening still has to be closed off, and this cover is the dead-front filler that does it. It is a blank plate and nothing more: no LEDs, no switches, no electronics and no connection to the panel.

Where a whole bay front is to be blanked, 4100-2302 is the single plate that covers a full bay instead of eight of these. Do not confuse it with 4100-1294, the slide-in label kit required whenever LED/switch or LED-only modules are present, or with the 4100-1288 and 4100-1289 controllers, which do carry electronics.
