Simplex 4100-1246 — Flex Amplifier Class A Adapter, the mezzanine module that converts the three on-board audio notification appliance circuits of a Flex amplifier to Class A.
The module seats on threaded standoffs over the amplifier NAC expansion header and re-lands the speaker circuits as Class A pairs. Supervision is normally taken from the B terminals; on a single open or short, audio power is fed from both the A and B terminals so speakers on the circuit continue to sound. It converts speaker NACs only — it does not place an IDNet SLC, an RUI network line or a city/municipal tie into Class A, and it adds no circuits and no amplifier power.
- Converts three existing Class B audio NACs to Class A
- Operating range 19–33 VDC
- 24 VDC draw 1 mA standby, 30 mA alarm
- Rating per NAC 50 W, 100 speakers or 2 A, whichever is less
- Ambient 32° to 120° F (0° to 49° C)
- For 4100U and 4100ES fire alarm control units
