Simplex 4100-0621 — dual channel analog audio riser module, service part 742-534, for 4100U and 4100ES.
In a MINIPLEX or networked voice job the messages and tones are generated at the host panel and carried to remote transponder cabinets over an analog riser. The 4100-0621 is the receiving end of that riser: it takes the incoming analog audio and feeds the local amplifiers, under control of the Transponder Interface Module.
- Accepts one or two separate audio channels from the host control panel
- One block wide; mounts in Block B, controlled by the Transponder Interface Module
- Analog riser nominal 10 VRMS; maximum 31 analog interface cards per riser
- Riser wiring 18 to 14 AWG twisted shielded pair, to 10,000 ft (3,048 m)
- Board 566-242, instructions 574-844, harness 733-997
- 2081-9044 overvoltage protector where riser wiring leaves a building
Analog only — a digital host needs the 4100-0622 instead. Tying it into a legacy 4100 audio controller network input also needs the 742-302 audio isolator.
