Simplex 4098-9842 — remote duct control station for the 4098-9687 Stand Alone Duct Detector.
A stand-alone duct detector strapped to ductwork above a hard ceiling is awkward to see and awkward to reset. This station brings the detector status, the sounder and the test/reset function down to an accessible wall point, so an inspection can be witnessed and a tripped detector cleared without lifting tile. It lands on the LED, A, P, – and TEST terminals at the duct housing.
- Green POWER LED, red ALARM LED and a local audible sounder
- SILENCE toggle switch plus a keyed NORMAL / TEST-RESET switch
- 500 ft (152 m) maximum wire run from the duct housing to the station
- Installs to a standard double-gang outlet box at least 2 inches deep, supplied by others
Silencing the sounder does not release the alarm relay contacts at the duct detector, and if the detector head has been removed the key switch will not clear the ALARM LED. Detector, duct housing and outlet box are each sold separately.
