Simplex 4098-9830 — remote red LED alarm indicator on a single-gang stainless steel plate, marked ALARM.
Duct housings and above-ceiling detectors sit out of sight, so their alarm has to be repeated where a technician can see it. This plate does that and nothing else: it has no address, initiates nothing, and takes its indication from the device it is wired to.
- Single-gang stainless steel plate with a red alarm LED, marked ALARM.
- Wiring connections are 18 AWG colour coded leads; LED current 1.7 mA, with no impact on alarm current.
- Mounts in a single-gang box 3 in. H × 2 in. W × 2 in. D.
- Suits duct housings 4098-9685, 4098-9688 and 4098-9686, up to 250 ft (76 m) from the housing.
- Among electronic heat detector bases it is listed for the 4098-9684 only.
Two siblings share this plate style. The 4098-9834 adds a keyswitch, and turning it to TEST initiates an alarm; the 4098-9835 adds a keyswitch, red alarm LED and green power-on LED and suits the 4098-9686 housing only. The 2098-9735 end-of-line relay uses the same plate and is not an indicator at all.
