Simplex 4098-9771 TrueAlarm CO Sensor Base with Sounder — addressable carbon monoxide base with an integral piezoelectric sounder.
This base senses carbon monoxide, not smoke. It ships without a sensor head and needs a TrueAlarm photoelectric, photo/heat or heat sensor ordered separately to work. Base and head use one IDNet address, and a 4100ES or 4010ES can correlate CO and photoelectric readings to cut nuisance alarms or speed fire detection.

The CO element expires. A built-in date code drives Almost Expired troubles at 12 and 6 months, then Expired: 10 years on 4100ES/4010ES, 5 on 4100U. Budget for the 4098-9747 replacement cartridge (CORC), not a new base.
