Simplex 4098-9615 — 200°F (93°C) fixed-temperature electronic heat detector with rate-of-rise, head only.
This is the high-temperature member of the 4098 electronic heat detector family, for spaces whose normal ambient runs above 100°F — boiler rooms, attics and loading areas — where smoke detection is unsuitable. Its thermistor design tracks ambient temperature directly instead of waiting for a pellet or bimetal element to heat.
- Fixed temperature 200°F (93°C) plus rate-of-rise operation between 15° and 25°F/min (8.33° and 13.88°C/min)
- Non-addressable, for conventional two-wire IDCs, 15 to 32 VDC
- Standby 80 µA typical; alarm up to 86 mA on two-wire operation
- UL and ULC spacing 70 ft × 70 ft; FM spacing 50 ft × 50 ft, Ultra Fast RTI
- Ambient operating range 32° to 150°F (0° to 66°C); self-restoring, with alarm LED
The head takes a separately ordered base: 4098-9788, 4098-9684, 4098-9683 or four-wire 4098-9682. For 135°F applications order 4098-9613 instead.
