Simplex 4010-6303 — 4120 MM-L duplex fiber media card, the left-hand multi-mode transceiver for a 4120 network interface card.
Where a 4120 network span runs on fiber rather than wire, each end carries a duplex fiber media module that plugs onto the node network interface card. Left and right cards use opposite transmit and receive wavelengths, which lets one fiber carry both directions, and nodes are always wired right port to left port.
- Left card: fits the left port of the network interface card
- Multi-mode fiber, 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm, SC connector
- Wavelengths: 1550 nm transmit, 1310 nm receive
- Allowed loss and reach: 18 dB over 5 km
- Power: 5 VDC at 220 mA maximum, or 24 VDC at 55 mA maximum
- Operating 32 to 120 °F (0 to 49 °C), 10 to 93 percent relative humidity
- 40-pin connector, status LED, diagnostic pushbutton and four-position DIP switch
The siblings are the real risk. 4010-6304 is the MM-R right-hand card, and 4010-6301 and 4010-6302 are the SM-L and SM-R single-mode versions. The 4007-6303, 4100-6303 and 4190-6303 are this same module under other panel family prefixes.
