Simplex 4009-9809 — IDNet Repeater Option Card for the 4009 IDNet NAC Extender.
A long IDNet channel eventually runs out of drive: the line sags and the far devices stop answering. This card installs in a 4009 IDNet NAC Extender out on that channel, takes the IDNet signal the 4009 has received, and retransmits it on its output side at host panel IDNet levels. The extender becomes a repeater, and the channel gets a fresh power and distance budget downstream.

- Set DIP switch SW1 position 5 ON; IDNet mode only, SW1 position 8 OFF

The repeater and the fiber option are mutually exclusive: connector P6 also seats the 4009-9810 and 4009-9811 Fiber Optic Receiver cards, so fitting this card removes the fiber option from that 4009 IDNet.
