Simplex 4007-9812 — Dual RS-232 Interface Module for the 4007ES fire detection and control unit.
The 4007ES ships without serial ports, so a hard-wired printer or PC annunciator connection has to come from this card. It adds two RS-232 ports and lets port power be isolated or non-isolated: isolated power is intended for AC printers, PC annunciators and third-party computers, while DC printers run on the non-isolated supply. Picking the wrong one is a common source of ground faults on a freshly commissioned panel.

Block E is shared real estate: this module cannot be fitted if a 4007-9802 25 V Regulator, a Dual Class A IDNAC Isolator or a 4007-9801 Zone/Relay Module already occupies it. Confirm the position is free before ordering.
