Simplex 2975-9212 — red stamped steel surface mount box for 2099 Series cast metal manual stations.
A 2099 cast metal station mounts semi-flush on a single-gang box two and a half inches deep. Where nothing can be recessed into the wall, the station goes on the wall face instead and this box carries it. Simplex contours the box to the station so the pair reads as one piece.
- Stamped steel construction, red finish, intended for indoor applications
- 3-1/4" (83 mm) wide × 4-3/4" (121 mm) high × 2-1/4" (57 mm) deep
- Knockouts for 3/4 in. conduit, top and bottom
- With this box the station is rated 32° to 140° F (0° to 60° C), humidity up to 90% RH at 90° F
- Suits the 2099-9138 single action, 2099-9139 dual action and 2099-9143 New York City stripe stations
- Station housings and handles are cast zinc; the box is the steel part
For outdoor work the box is 2975-9211 instead: cast aluminum with a gasket kit, NEMA 3R rated, one 3/4 in. NPT entrance at one end. The explosion-proof 2099-9144 ships inside its own enclosure and needs no box. Simplex catalogues the 2099 stations as SIGCOM Series SG-32, so SigCom box numbers surface in searches for this part.
