Simplex 2975-9211 — red cast aluminum weatherproof surface mount box for the 2099 Series cast metal manual stations, supplied with the gasket kit its NEMA 3R rating depends on.
A cast metal 2099 station normally mounts semi-flush on a single gang box 2 1/2 in. deep, which suits indoor work only. This box surface mounts the station and seals it. Simplex states that the NEMA 3R rating is achieved when the station is used with the 2975-9211 and the supplied gaskets. NEMA 3R is the outdoor class covering rain, sleet and exterior ice formation.
