Simplex 2975-9178 — red steel surface mount back box for 4099 Series addressable manual stations.
On block, masonry or any wall where conduit is run exposed, there is nothing to recess a pull station into, so the station mounts to this box instead. Simplex shows it as the preferred surface box for the 4099 Series: knockouts top and bottom for conduit, and enough depth for the station cover, which hinges open for wiring and for setting the address DIP switch.
