Simplex 252-019 — the B key used to reset a Simplex manual pull station after it has been operated.
A Simplex station latches when pulled, and the lever will not return until a key is turned in the tamper-resistant lock on the station. That lock is keyed the same as the Simplex fire alarm cabinet, so one key serves the panel and the stations on the system. Simplex does not pack a key with each station, so it is ordered separately.
- Listed as the B key for manual station reset in the Simplex station datasheets
- Resets 2099 Series non-coded, non-addressable single and double action stations
- Resets 4099-9004, 4099-9005, 4099-9006 and 4099-9021 IDNet and MAPNET II stations
- Resets 4099-5214, 4099-5215 and 4099-5216 MX stations, where it also activates them
- Resets 2099-9149 and 2099-9152 manual release stations
- Keyed the same as the Simplex fire alarm cabinet lock
Not a consumable: after a breakglass station operates, 2099-9803 replaces the glass and 2099-9804 the break-rod, and the key still resets the lever. It is also not the 2099-9828 institutional cover kit.
