Simplex 2190-9169 — remotely mounted line powered MAPNET II isolator, surface mount version.
One short can silence a whole MAPNET II channel. This isolator mounts out on the wiring rather than in the panel, dividing the channel into device groups with bi-directional short circuit protection, so a shorted group is cut loose while the rest keep communicating. Simplex shows it wired as a Class A loop feeding Class B branch runs, or as a full Class A circuit.
- Non-addressable; operating power taken from the MAPNET II communication lines
- Up to four remote isolators per channel with no loading impact
- Beyond four, each added isolator costs six addresses of capacity
- Surface mount trim: mounting plate 4-5/16" (109 mm) square
- Mounts in a standard 4" square electrical box, 2-1/8" minimum depth
- Output terminal strip gives dual terminal connections
The sibling to watch is 2190-9170, the same isolator in flush trim with a 4-3/4" (121 mm) plate. Keep it apart also from the panel mounted quad isolators 4100/4120-0111 and 4100-3103, which are cards inside the cabinet, and from 4090-9116, an IDNet part.
