Simplex 2099-9104 — non-coded double action (break glass) manual fire alarm station, 2099 Series.
Double action means two deliberate motions before the panel sees an alarm: the attached hammer breaks the glass plate, then the handle is pulled down firmly enough to break the rod behind it. Specifiers choose break-glass stations over lever-only models in schools, dormitories and public corridors, where the extra step and the visible broken glass cut malicious pulls and make an activation impossible to deny afterwards.
- Non-coded double action (break glass) station; 2099 Series
- Operation breaks both the glass plate and the internal rod
- The station front must be unlocked and opened to reset the handle before the system can be restored to normal
- Companion models in the same family are the 2099-9103 and 2099-9105
This is a complete pull station, not a consumable. Replacement break glass and replacement break rods are separate Simplex accessory part numbers and are the parts to stock for routine testing. The 2099-9103, -9104 and -9105 differ in contact arrangement, so confirm the model called for on the drawings before ordering.
