Simplex 2098-9737 — supervised auxiliary relay with DPDT contacts for Simplex detector and sensor bases.
This relay gives one detector location a set of dry contacts for door holders, damper and fan shutdown or elevator interface. It is driven from the base and its connection is supervised, so a fault is annunciated at the panel. It mounts remotely or in the base electrical box, and Simplex documents it both with the addressable TrueAlarm 4098-9791 sensor base and with the older conventional 2098-9536 four-wire detector base.
- Contacts: DPDT, two Form C, resistive or suppressed loads
- Power limited rating: 3 A at 28 VDC
- Non-power-limited rating: 3 A at 120 VAC
- Coil: externally supplied 18 to 32 VDC, nominal 24 VDC
- With the 4098-9791 base: 270 µA supervisory, 28 mA in alarm

Confirm the base first. The 4098-9780 two-wire base takes the 4098-9860 relay instead, which is SPDT and rated 2 A at 30 VDC, and the 4098-9822 is an unsupervised relay that only tracks the base LED.
