Simplex 2098-9494 — the AP-P adapter plate for Simplex 302 series rate compensation heat detectors.
This is a trim and mounting accessory, not a detector. The 302 series detectors thread into a hub cover or outlet box and are deliberately plain; the AP-P plate dresses that installation with a finished white face. It carries no electronics and no rating of its own, and Simplex restricts it to part of the range.

- Simplex states it is only available for mounting 302, 302-AW and 302-ET detectors
- Matching detector SKUs are 2098-9484, 2098-9486 and 2098-9487 (302-AW), 2098-9490 and 2098-9491 (302-ET)
- Those detectors are rate compensation types, self-restoring and hermetically sealed
- The explosion-proof 302-EPM models, 2098-9488 and 2098-9489, are not on the compatibility list
Order it against the detector, not against a panel. The plate is cosmetic, so fire performance comes entirely from the detector underneath — check its rating, 135°F or 194°F, before you specify. Do not substitute this number for a detector or a threaded hub cover.
