Simplex 2084-9001 — standard remote firefighter phone jack station, 2084 Series type 4590-A.
Firefighter phones give two-way communication where radio is unreliable, typically during active firefighting or system test. A jack station lets responders carry pluggable handsets and plug in where needed instead of leaving a phone at every location. Operation needs a dedicated two-wire circuit, normally twisted shielded pair to keep noise off the audio.
- Stainless steel single-gang plate, marked FIRE EMERGENCY PHONE in red
- Requires a single-gang electrical box, 2 in. (51 mm) minimum depth
- In/out wiring by color-coded 18 AWG (0.82 mm²) leads
- Two-wire circuits are supervised and power-limited
- Works with 4100ES, 4100U and legacy 4100/4120 Simplex telephone controls
- UL, ULC, FM, CSFM Listed; MEA (NYC) MEA35-93E
The 2084-9001 has no call-in LED — for that, order 2084-9023 instead. Pluggable phones (2084-9014, or push-to-talk 2084-9024) and the 4081-9008 end-of-line resistor harness are ordered separately.
