Large Simplex fire alarm systems with long standby requirements rely on high-capacity secondary power, and the Simplex 2081-9279 supplies it as a 12 V DC, 110 Ah rechargeable sealed lead-acid battery. It is intended for Simplex control panels with chargers capable of up to 110 Ah, mounted in the external 2081-9280 battery cabinet close-nippled to the panel.

Compatibility
For Simplex fire alarm control panels whose chargers can charge 110 Ah batteries, including 4100ES System Power Supplies, 4100ES remote and TrueAlert addressable power supplies, and 4100 legacy power supplies 4100-0104, 4100-0114 and 4100-0124. On 4100ES/4100U systems, batteries connect through a 4100-5128 Battery Distribution Terminal Block. The 2081-9280 cabinet is not applicable to ULC-listed 4100ES/4100U systems. Battery sets must match in voltage, model and approximate date of manufacture.
