Silent Knight SKE-MIC — the hand-held microphone Honeywell catalogs as the SKE-Series Microphone, for SKE-Series voice evacuation systems.
The SKE-450 voice evacuation panel carries a microphone connector on its main board. The microphone plugged into it does two jobs: it records the user-programmable Message 3, and it keys live voice over the stored messages.
- Connects to the microphone connector on the SKE-450 main board; a MIC Gain trimmer on that board sets level
- Records Message 3 directly, up to 49 seconds, and acts as manual voice evacuation override
- Host panels are the SKE-450, SKE-450-ZN4 and SKE-450-ZN6, rated 50 watt and UL 864 and UL 1711 listed
- No separate amplifier needed; the SKE-450 supplies amplification and the Digital Message Repeater
- Honeywell lists it under both the Silent Knight and Farenhyt brands, and shows it as discontinued
This is a local hand-held microphone only. The SKE-SRM is the supervised remote microphone assembly in its own cabinet, and 6820EVS and EVS-series panels use their own on-board microphone plus the EVS-RVM remote voice module.
