6700 — compact intelligent addressable fire alarm control panel with a built-in dual-technology (IP and POTS) communicator, rated for 100 SK points or 50 SD points.
The 6700 is the latest intelligent addressable FACP from Silent Knight and is a direct replacement for the 5700. It has one SLC loop for connecting addressable detectors, supporting 50 System Sensor SK sensors and 50 SK modules, or 50 Hochiki SD devices per loop; total point capacity is a maximum of 100 points per panel with IDP and SK devices, or 50 points per panel using SD devices. Two onboard Flexput circuits can be configured as notification outputs or auxiliary power, with four types of auxiliary power available — door holder, constant power, resettable power and sounder sync power. The panel also provides a form-C trouble relay and two programmable form-C relays, plus drift compensation, pre-trouble maintenance alert, a built-in sensor test to comply with NFPA 72 calibration testing requirements, and a calibration trouble alert. A common communications and annunciation link allows up to 17 panels to be connected via copper or fiber optic cable, with one designated panel acting as communicator for the whole link.

Installation notes
-
Per-circuit and total Flexput ratings are different numbers: each Flexput circuit is limited to 1 A @ 27.4 VDC, while the panel's total power output is 2.5 A max @ 27.4 VDC. The headline "two Flexput circuits, 2.5 amps max" describes the combined panel output, not 2.5 A on each circuit.
-
Class A halves the circuit count: the terminal block yields either two Class B NACs or one Class A NAC.
-
SK and SD devices cannot be mixed in the same system, and the choice sets the ceiling: 100 points with SK, only 50 with SD. Refer to the Device Compatibility Document and SLC Wiring Manual.
-
Battery headroom is in the cabinet, not the charger: the charger is rated 7 to 35 AH but the cabinet only holds up to two 7 AH batteries, so larger standby calculations require an external battery enclosure.
-
End-of-line resistor: 4.7k ohm, ½ watt on Class B NAC circuits.
-
Wireless expansion: the panel supports up to four SWIFT wireless gateways, each of which can foster up to 49 wireless devices. SWIFT is compatible with System Sensor (SK) devices only, not Hochiki (SD).
-
Recommended ambient is narrower than the listed range: although the system meets NFPA requirements to 120°F, Honeywell recommends a normal room temperature of 15 to 27°C (60 to 80°F) to avoid shortening battery and component life.
-
Mounting: the cabinet can be surface or flush mounted.
