Siemens ZIC-4A — zone indicating card providing four notification appliance circuits for FireFinder-XLS, Desigo Fire Safety Modular and Cerberus PRO Modular systems.
The card occupies one slot in the CC-5 card cage and drives horns, speakers, bells and strobes. Each zone is configured independently in the Zeus tool and can serve as a standard or coded NAC, a speaker zone, a releasing circuit per NFPA 13 and 2001, a municipal tie or a leased line monitoring circuit. Zone inputs are isolated, so zones may be fed from different supplies.
- Four outputs, each configurable for Class A or Class B
- 3 A per circuit at 24 VDC; card standby current 89 mA
- Outputs supervised for open and short circuit; zone input voltage supervision
- Card level ground fault detection with diagnostic LED
- Thirteen LEDs, reset switch and three rotary H-Net address switches
- Strobe sync across all four zones of one card, but not between cards
Compare the ZIC-8B: eight outputs, Class B only, and it synchronizes automatically across cards. The ZIC-2C is not a zone card but a two-channel audio card that installs on a ZIC-8B.
