Siemens WPBBS-R — weatherproof surface back box, red, for the Siemens AS-WP outdoor horn strobe series (P/N 500-636137).
Siemens assigns one designated back box to each weatherproof appliance series in its mounting matrix, and the WPBBS-R is the box called out for AS-WP. An installer reaches for it when an AS-WP appliance goes on an exterior wall, a parking deck or a loading dock, where a standard 4-inch square or SHBBS surface box would leave the terminals open to water and dust.
