Siemens TRI-B6M — single-input intelligent interface module, catalogue number 500-894546, for FireFinder XLS and MXL addressable loops.
It connects a direct-shorting device to the XLS MLC or MXL ALD loop and reports the contact status to the panel. Siemens orders it as one module (3.5 oz), addressed electronically with the FPI-32 programmer/tester, with no DIP switches or dials.
- Monitors one dry contact: normally open for fire or supervisory use, normally closed for security; with MXL it is approved for UL 1076 proprietary burglary
- Two-wire loop operation with dynamic supervision
- Supervised input: 470 Ω, 1/4 W end-of-line resistor (P/N 140-820164); up to 200 ft of 18 AWG or 2.8 Ω

Do not confuse it with the Canada-only TRI-B6MC (500-894993) or with the HTRI-M mini single-input module, a different Siemens part number. When replacing an older TRI, fit a 470 Ω EOL.
